Crochet Creature

My little cousin wanted a crocheted creature and her mom sent me the link to the pattern, but unfortunately, you had to buy the pattern. Being the cheap cousin I am :P I was determined to crochet it without buying the pattern. He turned out pretty cute. However, I filled the ball at the end of his point head with pennies to weigh it down but when I gave it to my cousin, found that this functioned more as a weapon than anything else. Not my best idea...
