Step 1
Carrot Body

Rnd 1: sc 6 in magic ring. (6)

Rnd 2: 2 scs in every st around. (12)

Rnd 3 – Rnd 8: 2 scs in next st, sc around.

Rnd 9: sc in next 9 sts, 2 scs in next st, sc in next 8 sts. (19)

Rnd 10: sc in next 9 sts, 2 scs in next st, sc in next 9 sts. (20)

Rnd 11: sc in next 9 sts, 2 scs in next st, sc in next 10 sts. (21)

Rnd 12: sc in next 9 sts, 2 scs in next st, sc in next 11 sts. (22)

Rnd 13: sc in next 9 sts, 2 scs in next st, sc in next 12 sts. (23)

Rnd 14: sc in next 9 sts, 2 scs in next st, sc in next 13 sts. (24)

Rnd 15: *sc in next 3 sts, 2 scs in next st*. Repeat from * around. (30)

Rnd 16 – Rnd 18: sc in every st around. (30)

Step 2
Attach safety eyes.

Carrot Hair

Rnd 3: *sc in next st, 2 scs in next st*. Repeat from * around. (18)

Working in rows now.

Row 4: *sc in next 2 sts, 2 scs in next st*. Repeat from * for 5 times. Sc in next 2 sts, sl st in next st, ch 1. Turn. (22)

Row 5: *sc in next 3 sts, 2 scs in next st*. Repeat from * for 5 times. Sc in next st, sl st in next st, ch 1. Turn. (26)

Row 6: sc2tog, sc in next 22 sts, sc2tog.

Row 7: sc2tog, sc in next 20 sts, sc2tog.

Row 8: sc2tog, sc in next 18 sts, sc2tog.

Continue sc around piece. I made 8 scs. Sl st in first sc from last row. Fasten off and leave enough yarn to attach “hair” to body.
Step 4
Assembling

- Attach hair to body.

- With 1 ply from the black yarn, embroider mouth.
