When I was, oh I don't know, ten or so, I got the idea to make a pair of pants out of squares out of fabric. The picture I had of them in my mind was absolutely beautiful. So I hauled out my shoddy little Dressmaker sewing machine and got to work ...

... for about ten minutes, and then got bored and gave up. Hence, there has been a massive amount of assorted fabric in my closet for five or six years. And then I found this project. Yay!

This took a verrry long time if you add up the hours spent on it, but including the time in between it took just over two weeks. I'm very impressed with myself :) It's pretty uneven but hey, I'm a sewing n00b.

Also, props to anyone who's read the books on my floor :)
