A refreshing minty drink perfect for lounging poolside!
I don’t know what it is about rum and mint that just screams summer to me, but with the exception of a beverage you’d find in the red solo cup of a sorority girl there are very few things that so perfectly encapsulate summertime. I think it might have been all my summers spent reading ahead for AP english and immersing myself in the world of Mark Twain and the southern tradition of the mint julep. I know that they’re not the same drink, but mojitos don’t have bourbon and are therefore better in every way.

Step 1Place your mint into the bottom of your glass, muddle your sugar onto it, add your rum and lime juice. Add ice and soda water to taste and garnish a sprig of mint.
