This warm, sweet, Christmas-tasting hot chocolate gives you a pleasant mouth-warming sensation, yet doesn't leave you sweating.
This recipe uses fresh chillies (dried if fresh NA) cinnamon powder and your favourite hot chocolate powder (I used cadbury's). adjust quantities according to taste eg.
more/less chillies
added sugar
more/less cinnamon

  • Step 1

1)Place 3 teaspoons of hot chocolate powder in a mug.

2)Place a chopped up half-chilli and half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon in a tea strainer.

3)Then pour a little boiling water over the chilli-tea strainer in to the mug.

4)Stir until the chocolate powder is dissolved.

5)Empty the (already used) bits of chilli from the tea strainer and half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon into a microwave safe cup and fill it with milk.

6)Then put the cup in the microwave and heat till almost boiling.

7)Take it out. Strain the milk into your mug through the tea strainer so you don't have extra bits of chilli floating about.

8)Mix up the hot chocolate, add some extra milk to cool it and enjoy!

i used umm british 'living' chillies (thats what it said on the chilli plant) you could use which ever ones suit your taste buds i guess. the heat rating on them was 3 chillies

This sounds great! I love spicy hot cocoa. What kind of chilies have you used? Which would you recommend?
