Lovely bookmark I made for myself, because I'm always losing them XD

  • Step 1

Measure out your ribbon, using a book(if you read a lot of hardbacks, pick the biggest one you have) as a guide for how long to cut it. Leave about an inch to an inch and a half extra.

  • Step 2

Put jump rings on each of your charms, or crystals. That's just sort of preparatory though.

  • Step 3

slide one end of your ribbon through a crimp bead, then through the jump ring on one of the charms, and back through the crimp bead. Then, smish the crimp bead with your jewelry pliers(*smishes*).
Repeat on the other end of the ribbon.

If you make it exactly like me, you need to put a heavy bead(mine is silver) above the crystal charm, and below the crimp bead. It weights that end, so that it stays in the book better.

  • Step 4

Melt the ends of the ribbon(that are poking out from the smished crimp beads), with a lighter. DON'T burn it, just get the flame close to it, not touching.

Beautiful!! Thanks so much for the how-to: especially the existence of crimp beads, and how to smish em! Happy
