Measure out your ribbon, using a book(if you read a lot of hardbacks, pick the biggest one you have) as a guide for how long to cut it. Leave about an inch to an inch and a half extra.
Put jump rings on each of your charms, or crystals. That's just sort of preparatory though.
slide one end of your ribbon through a crimp bead, then through the jump ring on one of the charms, and back through the crimp bead. Then, smish the crimp bead with your jewelry pliers(*smishes*). Repeat on the other end of the ribbon. If you make it exactly like me, you need to put a heavy bead(mine is silver) above the crystal charm, and below the crimp bead. It weights that end, so that it stays in the book better.
Melt the ends of the ribbon(that are poking out from the smished crimp beads), with a lighter. DON'T burn it, just get the flame close to it, not touching.
