Step 1Trace/cut out the template and mask off your desired "chalkboard" section with washi tape.

Step 2Cover the desired section with chalk paint, using unidirectional strokes to create as smooth a surface as possible.

Step 3Use chalk (or a chalk marker) to decorate the card as you would a chalkboard. Etsy is great for inspiration for chalkboard fonts/dectorations/etc.
