• 

  Step 1

  Add popping corn and 2 tablespoons if butter to the popcorn machine and pop until its popped generally I turn off the machine when there is less then 2-3 pops every 1-2 seconds.

  Step 2

  Place in a bowl to cool down.

  Look at my pretty pop corn :) lol

  Step 3

  In a bowl mix brown sugar, caster sugar and vanilla essence until combined well, then add the syrup. Continue to mix until its mixed well, it will end up as one big clump (see photo), this is what you want.

• Step 4

  Now line baking trays with baking paper and spray with cooking spray, I have use a lil cooking oil to grease paper aswell and it works fine. Then in a single layer, place popcorn on baking tray.

  Step 5

  Place the sugar mixture into a saucepan of medium to low heat and stir continuously until it becomes soft and the sugar dissolves, (until it looses its gritty look and feel)

• Step 6

  Now quickly pour sugar mixture as evenly as possible over the popcorn. With a spatula try to spread sugar mixture through popcorn before it starts to thicken. Set aside to cool. Now break up I to smaller pieces or bag up with ribbon and cute label for Xmas presents like I am as a part of a food basket full of homemade goodies to munch on ;)
