• 

  Step 1

  Mix the water, soap, sugar, and 10 drops of food coloring into a small bowl with wide mouth. Try mixing the coloring to customize your colors.

  Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

• 

  Step 2

  Put the one end of the straw in the soap mixture, blow at other end until bubbles form.

• 

  Step 3

  Lay the paper lightly on the bubbles so they pop when they touch.

  Repeat until the paper is covered with bubbles.

• 

  Step 4

  Let the paper dry and repeat with a different color.

• 

  Step 5

  After you've achieved the pattern you like, write a letter!

I've always used sugar because it helps keep the color more vibrant. Then again, I've never tried it without sugar. Give it a go without the sugar and see what happens
