Brownie Pecan Pie
This pie is a little bit different.
It is a pie with a pecan pie base topped with brownie mix.
It is easy to make and is an enjoyable desert.

Step 1Line a pie dish with the short crust pastry & set a side.
Add the melted butter, egg, brown sugar & syrup together in a bowl.
Mix until combined.

Step 2Add 100g pecan nuts to the mixture.

Step 3Pour onto the uncooked pastry case & level out.
Bake for 15 mins. Gas 4/ 160 degrees.

Step 4Beat the eggs & caster sugar together until light & fluffy.
Melt the chocolate in a separate bowl.

Step 5Add the melted chocolate & flour to the fluffy egg mixture.

Step 6Pour carefully on top of the pecan mix & level out.
Place in oven Gas 4/160 degree for approx 20 - 25 mins.

Step 7Remove from oven and add the left over pecans & sprinkle with icing sugar.

Step 8Leave to cool completely.
Cut into slices and enjoy.
