easy sewing project-make your own cover for your electronic book.
I wanted to make a cover for my sisters electronic book reader that was brightly colored and well cushioned. I had these pillow toppers that I bought at a yard sale for $1 and they fit the bill.

Simply turn the fabric to the wrong side and sew a running stitch down the length of the fabric. Make sure you leave a little wiggle room of 1/4 of an inch around the product because you'll want to turn the fabric down at the top to make the pouch. To ensure the none of my stitches showed I back stitched all of my running stitches. Trim excess fabric and sew a running stitch along the bottom and trim fabric. The fabric will unravel a bit so whip stitch the cut edges. The edges were finished but I wanted to make the bag shorter so I turned the top of the fabric down trimmed the excess fabric and whipstitched it down. This way the pouch looks finished when you look inside. Turn it right side out and add the ribbon handle. Fold the ribbon in half and sew it to the back of the pouch. I used polyester thread to sew on the ribbon but this would work with other thread simply reinforce your stiches to it can stand up to the pulling from the user.
