Keep your palm and bits and pieces safe and organised with a palm organiser.
I've been looking for a palm organiser for a while but the only ones I could find online cost £70 so I came to my senses and decided to make one.

  • How to make a pda. Palm Organiser - Step 1
    Step 1

    Using your palm for reference draw out a rectangle template on to a piece of paper. Add an extra inch and each side of the palm. Make smaller rectangle, only an inch wide, at each side of the first rectangle. And then draw two more rectangles, the same size as the first one, at either side of the smaller ones.

    Cut out the template and score along the lines.

    Cut out three rectangle of card, cardboard or plastic. These should be the same size as the large rectangles on the template.

    Use the template to draw on to the fabric for the cover and the lining of the organiser. Cut out the rectangle leaving a 2cm margin.

    Glue one side of the card rectangles. Stick them down on to the cover fabric. Spacing them so that there is an inch in between them like the template.

    Fold over the remaining fabric and glue it down. There should be a nice straight line around the outside of the entire rectangle. Turn it over to check that it looks neat.

    Cut the lining fabric to the exact size of the template. Glue it down to the inside of the cover. If you want to make it look a little neater use ribbon to line the edges.

    Sew a stud button on to the left hand fold over flap and the right hand inside flap.

    Sew a small length or ribbon in to the one inch folds. You can use this for holding pens and spare stylus.

    Sew a pocket on to the right hand flap. This is handy for holding your notes and bits and pieces in.

    Tie some thin ribbon to the top and bottom on the left hand flap.

    Punch a few holes in to a pad of paper and thread the ribbon through to keep it secure and in place.

    Decorate the cover with ribbons, felt and anything else that will look pretty.

    Glue a small travel mirror on to one of the inside flaps.

how do you attach the mirror on do i use glue or velcro to take the mirror off and on??

wow. great idea. i don't have a pilot but i think it would be perfect even for your ipod. just a bit smaller. or like skettio's said for a ds. the pockets are perfect for games!

Do you think instead of velcro you could do like elastic, and then slide the palm in? Or would it fall out?
