A great way to jazz up an old book for decoration...
There had been a library cart full of unwanted old books at school. I saw one on immigration and thought of my cousins who had immigrated to the U.S. It had the perfect amount of pages for me to fold the word "dream" so I took the book home with me and did just that. The hardest part for me was creating the plan of where on the page to fold and how many pages to fold for each part of the letter.
P.S. Yes, I did feel a bit guilty about folding the book, but the book is actually still readable; all I have to do is unfold the pages as I read along.

Thanks for your comment! Unfortunately, a tutorial on how to make something similar would be really hard and long. However, it's really quite easy. Basically, you fold a corner of the page up let's say 2 inches from the bottom of the page. If you repeat that with several pages, you will start to see a straight line. Now let's say you want a diagonal; you'd fold the corner 2 inches from the bottom, and then (next page) 2.1 inches, and then (next page) 2.2 inches, and then (next page) 2.3 inches, and so on. If you want a curve, you'd fold it 2 inches from the bottom, and then (next page) 2.1 (increase by .1), then 2.3 (increase by .2), then 2.6 (increase by .3), and so on. Hope this helps!
