An easy adaptable pattern, if a bit time consuming!
Okay so I'm a bit rubbish at knitting, and even more rubbish and writing down knitting patterns, but its a pretty easy project, working in blocks of 10 rows. The first 10 rows and last 10 rows are just knitting. Also, the first 10 stitches and last 10 stitches of each row are knit.

In between you are doing alternating blocks of knit and purl, again, in sets of 10 rows.... I will try to write it out:

You Will Need

  • Step 1

    Cast on 140 stitches.
    10 rows of Knitting
    Then...

[Remember that you start and finish every row with K10]

Work in alternating sets of 10 rows:
Ten rows of Set 1: Each Row - K10, then (P10,K10)6x, then K10
Ten rows of Set 2: Each Row - K10, then (K10,P10)6x, then K10

Work until the blanket is 36" long, then do 10 rows of K again to finish it out. Cast off, give to your favourite baby.

Thanks, thought I should mention the needle sizes - they are 5mm (size 6) bamboo needles. Happy
