A step by step tutorial to attach all these nice feathers to your old bag!
Hi Cut Out + Keep users! This is my first post here! I'm proposing a tutorial I posted on my personal blog (www.stylebizarre.com) and I thought it could perfectly fit in here!
So, on to the tutorial:

I was bored of this random satin clutch, and I fell in love with some black feathers when I saw them in a toy shop... so I obviously had to buy them, and here you are what came out of the mix of the two!

Step 1
This was the bag before the genetic mutation in a gothic chicken! First step is to FILL THE BAG with some crumpled old newspapers until the fabric is well straightned like the bag in the picture!
Step 2
Put a line of glue on the upper part of the bag, just below the stiff closure part! Leave it for a couple of minutes (even if the glue's instructions say 10, I've experienced that a couple of minutes it's ok as well).
Step 3
Start to stick the feathers to the glue: the right way to do that is no putting them in vertical but in a oblique directions. In this way they will stick better to the glue. Try to let the tip of the feather under the stiff part. Use the longer feathers for this part! The result will look more or less like the picture below: long and short feathers, part of the bag is still not covered, and you can spot the feathers tip with glue on them.
Step 4
Next step is to fill the lower part of the bag. Choose the shorter feathers, and put a line of glue 2-3 cm above the lower edge of the bag. Leave for a couple of minutes as you did before, and start to stick the short feathers to the glue, always oblique, but now they have to point to the opposite side of the long feathers above. This will give a "fuller" look to your bag!

I made one side of the bag glueing the longer top feathers first and then the shorter under like I'm telling you to do, and the other side glueing first the short ones and then the top ones, to show you where to put them.

You choose which row of feathers you put first, just do it the same on both sides, because I noticed they come out a bit different if you don't follow the same process on both sides!
Step 5
Now that you glued the main two rows of feathers, start to fill the empty spaces with little feathers, putting a bit of glue in each spot you have to cover. Once you did this, glue the upper feathers that come too off from the surface of the bag, so they will stick to the line of the bag and don't look like a plucked chicken!
Step 6
Last but not least: you'll notice there's an ugly line below the stiff part of the bag in which the tips of the upper feathers show the glue and the way they're glued: pick a long and furry feather and glue it in horizontal to hide the mess ;D

This is still the bag without trimming the extra long feathers.
Step 7
Now you'll say: "why do I needed the scissors?" It's their turn now! Look at your bag on a light background and decide which feathers to trim to make the bag look nicer! Go ahead and trim trim trim!

NOW YOU HAVE YOUR BRAND NEW FEATHER CLUTCH! LEAVE IT TO DRY AT LEAST A NIGHT AND ENJOY IT A YOUR NEXT EVENING OUT!
