omg a girl at school came into our class and showed us how to do dis i did it and it came out wonderfully now i think she got it from u!!
P.S.you can use staples instead of glue it works just as well and u dont need to wait 4 it to dry
Just made one of these and it looks really good. Am now going to hang it from my curtain rail in my room. Thanks for the great tutorial and a great project!
Beautiful and so easy! My daughter and I are making a bunch of these today during a no-school, snow day! Great winter decorations for the house! Right now we're just using scrap paper, but I can totally see using some nice 2-sided craft papers.
If anyone can give a better description on how to cut the triangles, please let me know. I followed the pics above, but, the cuts are all wrong and I can't get them to turn out right when the paper is unfolded!
Thanks for any advice
My brother and I just made one of these to hang instead of a wreath on our door. We didn't have glue so we used staples instead. >_<
It still came out very pretty though! Thanks for the great tutorial!
I made this last year for my tree with purple and blue scrapbook paper with designs...with the scrapbook paper i had to use glue and tape because the paper was thick and stuck it in my tree as an ornament! love these things!
Hey! I used to make these when I was younger. In the Philippines, these are called "parols" and they can be pretty big with colored paper, glitter, ribbon, and many other things that make them even prettier.
I just went to a wedding yesterday. These snowflakes were the decorations at the reception! It really dressed the place up, and they looked great! I bet no one knew how cheap the things really were
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I have been trying to figure out what my X-mas craft will be this year and now I know!! This was soooo easy and looks so awesome. I'm gonna make a whole bunch and have a winter wonderland!!!
I love the snowflake but I need to know how I can print the step by step as I won't always have my computer to use when I want to make it. Is there a way to print it? How do I cut and keep it?
I really enjoyed making this. Its so lovely that I want to encase it in plastic, like in a display box!!! About to take a snap of it in a mo. Much thanks for sharing this project
My friends and I made a bunch of these for our Spanish teacher today He just had double bypass surgery and won't be back until after Christmas break, so we wanted to send along something pretty to make him feel better
My suggestion is to use paper clips to hold the two sides when you're gluing them together. It minimizes the chance that they'll pull apart while your cutting out another point or something.
Thank you for the How To!! I once knew how to make this, and then I forgot. I made lots with the children in my classroom and we hang them to the cealing. It's so cosy! My collegues are stunned! haha. I'll take a picture soon and post it.
well i've read over the steps a few times and looked for a print button so i can carry the instructions to my art table... i have a feeling i'm going to be making a lot of these for our christmas decorations!! thank you for sharing
Oh wow! I didn't see the thumbnail so I thought it might have just been one of those run-of-the-mill cut the paper kind of snowflakes but this is really pretty! I'm definitely making a bunch of these for some Christmas decorations! Thanks!
This is so cool!
when i first saw it, it looked to professional that i thought i would never be able to do it, but after reading through the tutorial, it looks do-able! thanks for this
Aw, pretty snowflake. My mister was trying to make a snowflake out of a napkin last night. It didn't work out. haha Gotta love him for trying. Maybe I'll give him your tutorial. heehee
One of my collegue saw 3 of those snowflakes hanging in from a window in my hometown of Montreal. If the person that made this version took the tutorial here, I would be very curious to see his or her version
I just want to thank the user "Rocky" for making me remind to change the instructions on step #20. Its really easier to do it that way instead of trying to glue the six points together!
>_< I'm so dumb. I saw this how-to before but it wasn't in english and it only showed some of the steps... Pretty much stop with the pics at step 11 and I was like O_O that doesn't look like a smowflake!!
