Apple Upside Down Cake
This is an alternative to the usual pineapple Upside Down Cake.
It is great served hot with vanilla ice cream.

Step 1Heat oven 350/175 degrees.
Melt butter, brown sugar & cinnamon in a pan until sugar is melted.

Step 2Pour liquid into a tin.

Step 3Layer the apples on top.
Set aside.

Step 4For the cake...
Cream butter & sugar together.

Step 5Add the eggs, one at a time.
Stir well.
Add vanilla.

Step 6Mix the flour, salt, cinnamon & baking powder together in a bowl.

Step 7Add the dry ingredients & milk alternatively to the egg mixture until all ingredients are used.

Step 8Pour on top of the apples.
Bake for 40-50 mins, until cooked through.

Step 9Leave to stand for 10 mins before cutting & serving.
