A crochet pattern for little sushi rolls
Size:
Using medium (worsted) weight yarn and a 3.5 mm (E) crochet hook, your sushi will be about 4 cm / 1.6″ wide.

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
sc2tog = single crochet 2 together
st = stitch
sts = stitches
sl st = slip stitch

  • Step 1

    This amigurumi is worked in the round. Don’t join rounds, except when specifically instructed. Start with a magic ring, or ch 2 and work in the first chain.

    Start with filling colour.
    1. 6 sc in a circle.
    2. 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc)

    Switch to white yarn.
    3. (2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st) 6 times. (18 sc)
    4. (1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st) 6 times. (24 sc)
    Join with a sl st, and finish off.

    Switch to black or dark brown yarn.
    5. Working in back loops only, sc in each st around. (24 sc)
    6-10. Working through both loops, sc in each st around, for 5 rounds. (24 sc per round)
    Join with a sl st, and finish off.

    Switch to white yarn.
    11. Working in back loops only, sc in each st around. (24 sc)
    12. Working through both loops, (sc in next st, sc2tog, sc in next st) 6 times. (18 sc)
    13. (sc2tog, sc in next st) 6 times. (12 sc)
    14. sc2tog 6 times. (6 sc)
    Cut yarn, leaving a tail for sewing, and finish off.

    Stuff your piece of sushi and sew up the hole.
