A perfect gift for the organic and vegan
I made this blush initially because one, I have sensitive skin therefore I'm prone to skin irritation easily, especially with synthetic ingredients. Two, I do not like to feel makeup on my face.

I wear this blush on a daily basis. It's organic, it's all natural, and it's beautiful. Therefore, I thought I should share this magic with others.

  • How to make a blusher. All Natural Handmade Powder Blush - Step 1
    Step 1

Obtaining preferably organic beet powder and hibiscus flower powder is essential to this project. (These are the only two ingredients.)

I bought hibiscus flower powder online for a dollar and beet powder at a local herb store.

I used a spoon inside the 1 ounce tin, however a mortar and pestle would be perfect for this.

  • Step 2

The first step is to start with the beet powder and crush it up into a fine powder. You can solely use beet powder as a powder blush. HOWEVER, I think it smells awful that is why I added in flower powder.

If you add in hibiscus flower powder the hue of your blush will change, so just keep experimenting until you get a color you desire.

You can make a label for your project. I had to fool around with photoshop until I printed the right size.

I made this option as miscellaneous because you do not need to do this. I used an exacto knife to cut out my circle and then mod podged it onto the tin.

You are gorgeous! Love the project! I don't wear blush much, as I have a naturally pink-toned face, but I wonder if I could apply the same principles to make bronzer...?

If you have a local herbs store they usually carry beet powder, you can also buy it cheap on Ebay just search specifically for "Beet root powder."
