Post Christmas Destash Swap
Let me know how the cat pillows turn out
Mine is finally in the post! I had to send it economy, to send it regular would have cost £12, and economy was half the price! It should be with Pam in 2 weeks time. x
I sent mine yesterday, hopefully Mary will get it in a couple of days.
I just got my stuff yesterday and am unpacking I should have things sent to Hayley by Monday the 28th.
Gee, Libby! You said two days and exactly TODAY your package was delivered to me. Huzzah for Royal Posts! ^____^
No need to tell you I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE everything inside. As you can see from the picture I got plenty of differently patterned papers and stickers, a stamp and an ink pad, some magnet tape, seed beads, washi tape, a pencil, cold dyes, buttons and ribbons. Everything I asked for! Thanks!
Thank you so so much especially for the ink pad, the washi tape and the magnet tape, I really needed them and magnet tape is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to come across over here. I heard maybe Tiger has it, I'll have a look next week. The stickers are adorable and the smashbooking supplies got me jumping up and down. Unluckily the yellow seed beads tube exploded in the shipping, so the whole unpacking was a little laborious, but in the end I put everything back together, as you can see. Just one question: do you think I can use cold dyes on paper? Or is it a fabric-only thing?
Again, THANK YOU! Can't wait to see how you like what I've sent you. Any sign of my package yet? Can't believe it's taking so long...
Hey Mary, your parcel arrived yesterday safe and sound! Theres so much stuff I could hardly get it all in the photograph! Thank you for everything! I need to go dig in my pinterest boards and CO+K lists for saved projects that I can make with my new stash! In particular, I saw a crochet flower with the satin tape that I can now make.

Theres loads of postcards and magazine pages for my smashbooking. I recently discovered a new way of repurposing postcards, so these will be great. As well as pipe cleaners, threads that I can use for my macrame, jewellry findings, stickers, stamps, cute little animal cards, a tiny box of pencils for on the go colouring (I do actually do this), hama bead pieces, as well as loads of other stuff!
I'm glad you liked everything Mary. I had a new years splurge on reduced stamp sets and then realised that I had 4 black ink pads! I'm sorry there isn't more washi tape as I only have those 3 colours at the moment. Also, about the bead explosion! Those little tubes are pretty robust I didn't think to put some tape on it when I packed it. Also after I packed it I realised I'd forgotten to put a note in.
I had a quick internet search for instructions on the cold water dyes:
http://www.dylon.co.uk/product.php?alias=industrial-products&products=product-info&alias-product=cold-water-dye-500g#instruction
http://www.pburch.net/dyeing/fiberreactive.shtml
From this post I found out that the coldwater dye is a Procion MX dye which is apparently a good dye for beginners to use, that doesn't washout.

This also has good instructions but I think it is a fabric dye and haven't seen anyone using it to dye paper, (although you can apparently use it on aluminium). Since there are 2 you could experiment, although I'd be worried about the paper disintergrating when you submerged it. I think there may also be some instruction in the packet when you open the cellophane.
And finally she included my birthday which I will open on Monday:
