Well I never got around to messaging anyone about starting a new Newbie swap, which is a good thing since they fired someone at work, and now I'm covering a lot. SO I can't so a swap right now, which is lame because I like swaps, but good because I like money, lol.

Well I got a lovely one word answer from Beautasha, I asked her a few weeks ago if the swap was still happening, and she replied today with "nope."
I guess that's closure on that one then!

As for my newbie swap - I don't think its going to happened. I messaged Jenny twice in the last couple weeks and never heard back from her. Its a shame because I already made a couple items for her.

I don't know what this means for the Colour Swap she was also in.

It.does run like that Hayley I think that's why we started this swap.In the US school courses start around now and I think sometimes the pressures of school/work get to people.Sometimes life just gets in the way. That said it's great when you do find some talent.

That said Monika could you remove Crafty Cuttlefish and me from the swap list.We have no fixed date for completion so it's not really a swap.I'm happy to change it back if timing works for me.

Congrats to Pam on the new hrs Happy

Hello there guys! Eventually I'm managing to post a pic of Sanne's beautiful package. Crazy girl sent me a 1.4 kgs package that cost her almost 26 euros to send! Luckily she realised her mistake had promised never to do it again. Here's what I got: As you can see there's a lovely notebook with a poem on deafness, a card, a fabric bookmark (or at least I guess it is, correct me Sanne), chocolates, some stash, a funny four steps guide to Belgium AND the item that caused the weight and therefore the price rise: speculaas in a jar! Now, there's few things in the world I'd kill for, and one of them is speculaas, so THANK YOU Sanne!!! But please, next time the recipe and/or a few baked ones is enough Happy PS You're probably wondering what are the little sticks on the lower right. Apparently they are tea sticks: I assume you stick them in a cup of hot water and they work as they were tea bags. Unluckily they look exactly like a type of sherbet powder sticks we have here in Italy, where you basically cut the top open and swallow the whole lot in one go. So, yeah. I figured it all out after the first try, but having to spit out all the tea leaves wasn't that funny.

Haha, I guess I should have said those were tea sticks....Just use them as tea bags, if you take them out of the water you can hold them upside down to prevent dripping. And the fabric thingy was indeed intended to be a bookmark, but I wouldn't stay flat, so I left it open so you can store 1 or 2 (maybe 3) (crochet) pens in it if you like ;)

Too bad the pompoms came of the notebook... They were all in the right corner of the poem, where the dark blue one still is
