10/10/10 Postcard Swap!
10/10/2010 is almost here! What better way to comemorate than with a swap?
The idea is to send 10 postcards to 10 people on 10/10/10. Now, the only problem with this is that 10/10 falls on a Sunday, and the post office will be closed... So send out will have to be on 10/9/2010. (...if anyone can figure out how to get a 10/10/10 postoffice stamp, you get a gold star!)
Swap Requirements:
- 10 postcards need to be mailed out on 10/9/2010
- There is no requirement on the postcards; they can be either bought or made, just be sure to have 10 to send!
Signing Up:
- Please message me (dropthetacos) your name and address.
- So 'everyone else' has an idea of who is participating, why not fill this out too? ;)

You can begin looking for/making your postcards as soon as you sign up. On Sunday October 3, I will message everyone the names and addresses of their 10 partners. (Thought this might make communication easier?)
Fingers crossed there are at least 11 people interested! Overall a pretty easy swap.
Important Info for those who want to make postcards:
USPS Postcard requirements:
For the first-class mail postcard price, postcards must be:
- Rectangular
- AT LEAST 3.5 inches high x 5 inches long x 0.007 inches thick (thickness of an index card)
- NO MORE than 4.25 inches high x 6 inches long x 0.016 inches thick.
If your mailpiece does not meet the dimensions above, then the Postal Service considers it a letter (and charges letter-size postage).
If you decide to make a large postcard (and want to pay letter-postage), make sure that your postcard is no larger than 6-1/8" x 11-1/2" x 1/4" thick. Mailpieces larger than any of those dimensions and you'll have to pay flats (large envelope) postage prices.
ALSO - please do not attatch anything bulky to your postcards like buttons, magnets, sticker sheets, ect. These could make your postcard unmailable!
Oh - remember that length is the side paralell to the address.
I'd like to do this. I think it's an awesome idea. I'll have to buy my post cards though. Don't have much time for crafting them. (hope that's ok with my receivers)

I do know a couple of Sunday Post Offices but they are pretty rural so it depends on the weather but I'll check it out
Glad you two are interested! Hopefully we can get 8 more people to participate so all 10 postcards can be used... If not, it may turn into a mini 10/10/10 swap?
But the swap is still young! Hahaha...
I really hope we get some more peeps going on this.I'm playing with Papercloth so watch out for creations coming your way.
'u' I'm excited already!
Yes! If there are any lurkers reading this post now, please join! (Yes that means YOU... Hehehe...) Such an easy swap, how could you refuse? :3

Finished my postcards today...
I hope the mailman is kind to them on Saturday. (aka - they dont get too beat up)
Hope everyone got the address list, I was having issues sending messages Sunday.
I got the address list just fine. I'm going to be finishing my up either tonight after school or tomorrow, so they will be ready to mail out on Saturday.
All recieved.Working on them currently.
I got it too...I decided to whip some up and print them out. I was going to pick up some that were already made, but I changed my mind. Easier to personalize 3, rather than 10. Although, that would have been cool to get 10 postcards!
I finish making my cards last night and stuck them in the mailbox to be picked up today. I got a little carried away with them, so they are heavier then normal postcards
Woot! Took them to the P.O this morning. I asked the clerk to check them, because I made them myself...so she pulls out this big "checker" thing and says,
"Perfect! Good job."
Lol, I take my little victories where I can get them! haha!
I tried to personalize them to who you are on CO+K...*tease*
Mine are in the mail but I have to apologize that they're are not outstanding.I have a jaw infection and had a tooth removed on Monday. Not my most creative week
Will send you guys "happygrams" when I'm back up to speed.
