50th b'day help!!

It's my MIL's birthday next week. I asked my partner if it was her 50th and he said "No, it's next year her 50th"
BUT someone made a passing comment about her 50th being this year, and i asked them and it IS this year!!
Now i need ideas for gifts as it's a milestone age i need something special!!
HELPPP!!!

How about to "to do book"
A place where she can plan the things to do, put clippings, make notes and promises to her self to share with other.
Or start a paper memory quilt set for her.
I did this for my sister's 40th.
