slouchy tam like hat for the wee ones?!

I'm getting my daughters photos taken sometime this week and i really really want to crochet her a slouchy tam hat thing. i'm new at crocheting though so i dont know how to downsize the pattern to make her head fit (she's 2) and i cannot find a pattern online for children. If any of you have any links or suggestions it'd be mucho appreciated.
