Summer Reading Art Sculpture

I need your help, do you have any ideas of how to make a clean 3D paper model of a person running after something?
I have a project about the book Fahrenheit 451 and my idea was a 3D sculpture of the main character, Guy Montag, running after books on wire and away from 'paper fire'. This whole project will be constructed out of the book itself !!
I'm going to tear it up and put it together (: but i need your help !!
I need a way to make the Guy Montag skeleton that can stand up itself, and how to put the paper over it, and make a little fireman safety helmet.
I don't think size matters just as long as it's not too big or not too small.

So do you think you can help me by giving me advice and direction??
