Craft Along?

OOh, I am jealouse. LOL. My sister is going in halfs with me, and she ordered all the interfacing and I am getting the fabrics and some of the stuff I have no idea what they are; so I will have to go into the craft store and ask around. (=

And I am such a ditz I can't remember all the stuff my sister got so I have to wait for it to come in the mail.

I'm so excited, I've never been in a craft along before Happy

Mwahaha, that Michael Miller Dysfunctional Family fabric is hilarious! Good thing you mentioned the interfacing, I totally forgot about that.

i think craft alongs are a great idea, i did have a few ideas though. for those who struggle getting the patterns (either because of cash flow or where they live or whatever) couldn't one of the people who do have it send a photocopy in the mail to them. or take it in turns to come up with a craft and then mail patterns out to all those who are in.

I thought about that. But, decided I felt like it was stealing. Nothing against anyone who does it, I just couldn't bring myself too. I think the next one I do will just be using a free pattern online. I tried making one for a similar type bag as this, but I got pissed off at it and put it off to the side for now....

i thought of it more as an act of direct kindness on the part of the person who shares their pattern, but whatever. i think the free pattern is a good idea too.

I'm pretty good at making my own pattern just by looking at the finished project. I would love to join this one but I don't think I have any material I would like to use for it, would have to go through what I have which is a lot. In any case, if I find some that I like can I do this and just make my own pattern?

I think that wouldn't be a problem at all. I'd love to see how yours will turn out.

LOL, that was what I was trying to do, by looking at the finished bags on flickr.

And didn't mean to offend Siobhan. I have no problem with other people sharring patterns like that, I just felt bad so I couldn't.

And yippee! I just found the Michael Miller fabric on ebay 2 yards for $16!! I thought it would be sold out before i got to buy it, but I snatched it up! The fabric fits my mom perfectly. (;
