best of luck - I wish I was more verbally creative lol
It really depends on how creative/meaningful you want your name to be.
I when I started thinking about names for my jewelry shop I was staying with my parents while my husband was in iraq with the military, and he would always send me lilys because he knows that I love flowers! So I started with Lily Beadworks, because I wanted something in the name that told people right of the bat what I was making.
And I had that name for a while and loooooved it! I used it for my booths at craft fairs and farmers markets. But then I started making and selling other items, like bags, wallets, plushies and cards. So I changed it lol. Now its Blossoming Designs! I like it because it still has the flower idea to it but Blossoming to me also means growning/changing/expanding. And then I changed from Beadworks to Designs because I do more than just jewelry.
I would suggest thinking of words that you like, or mean something to you, and jotting them down on paper, not in any order, just as they come to you. Then you can also go check out etst.com or other places like that and see what kinds of other names you like. When you have a pretty large list you should post it here! So we can all see it and help you choose. Or if you think youve got some ideas you like start narrowing down your list until you find 2-3 names you like. When I got to that point I started asking my family and friends too see which they liked best and which they thought sounded wierd.
I hope that helps! Deffinetly let us know what you come up with, or post some word ideas we can play around with!
Thanks very much guys that's a really great help.
I will now spend my Sunday brainstorming! I'll post word ideas for sure.
Ive been asking family and friends and been met with the same reply "Uh...dunno..." so really appreciate this. I'll also try and post more of my creations to give an idea of the type of things I'm making.

It depends on which type of thing you're going to sell...
Vintage, steampunk, pretty girly flowery, classical, etc.?
Which fairs are you thinking of going to? When I used to go every two weeks to Merchant Square in Glasgow, I didn't really have a name for ages because I couldn't think of anything I liked!
Now I'm "Black Unicorn Designs" and sell in a few local shops.
I use essexdebs as a pseudonym because there is a sculptress with the same name on the West Coast of US.
You need to check that no one else is using the name to trade under.
Momo's Mojo comes to mind

Nora - I'm just starting out at local Gala days and craft fairs, Is the one at Merchant Square any good?
humm... I love all of those are great, I can totally see why your having troubles choosing one! The one that I was drawn to was Magpie! Because they are drawn to shinny things like jewelry. Heres what I can think of
Mysterious Magpie
The Magpie's Treasury
Magpie Merchandise
OOOO Really like Magpie's treasury!
Thanks xx
Went with Candy Blossom. My husband came up with it and i thought it brought to mind sweeties, bright colours and other nice things.
Thanks for all your suggestions and much needed support!
