Project 'Not Published' ???
I am trying to post a project of a dress I made with a free pattern from another site, so the instructions are just a web address for Burdastyle to get the 'How to', but it comes up 'Not published' when I submit it, are we not allowed to show our projects obtained from other sites???
You are allowed to do that; when making your post and after clicking save, you have make sure to click the "publish" button as well. Your project should then show that it's awaiting approval. If you have done that, then there may be something wonky with the site and Tom will have it fixed.
Hi Thx yes I clicked publish twice and it took 24hrs the first time to come back 'not published' and about 12 the second, I though maybe it's against the site rules to post a link to another site for a 'How to'?? If not should I contact Tom then?
Neh, it's ok, just so long as you post your version of the how-to and give the original crafter the credit. Besides, that's not the feature that would prohibit that; if Tom or the others felt like you violated site rules, they would let you know before actually approving it. So yeah, contact Tom and let him know, they usually get back to you pretty fast with problem solved or let you know they're working on it.
Okies Thx
I thought I'd add this here rather than starting a new thread.
I posted a reversible messenger bag on Sunday 14th Feb and it's still awaiting approval while a bag I posted two days later has been published. Now I've found that someone else posted a similar bag four days after mine and it's been published.
I'm wondering what's the problem with my messenger bag that it's taking so long to approve? It's all my own work, I even made the pattern myself, the link to the how to goes to my own work too so what's up?
EDIT: So I imported the project from my blog as advised, but still no sign of it. I give in.
Sorry everyone, we were away on holiday, so noone was around to publish projects. We're hoping to roll up some of you guys to be admin and help us publish projects, if anyone fancies it?
I wouldn't mind helping out, as long as it doesn't require a superfast broadband connection or something (Gwynedd is still a bit low-tech lol)=)
I would love to help if you want , I love this place!!
Same here. I'm here almost all day every day.
