What coding do you use to have a strike through your text?

On other forums I've used I've been able to put a 'strike'(horizontal line through your text) over the text I've written but the coding to do so doesn't seem to work on this forum, anybody know how to? (I've seen it used previously on the CO&K forums so it can be done)

I've tried:
[strike]insert phrase here[/strike]
insert phrase here

Eventually we'll make the [strike] code work, but for now, we use < strike > </ strike > to do a <strike>strike</strike>
