When is your trip for? I was just through today and it wasn't too bad, but I'm use to the Scottish weather! I usually bring a brolly/rainbonnet, jumper, lightweight jacket (water proof-ish), and shoes that are water resistant.
The great and worse thing with Scottish weather is it's pretty changeable, so even if it is bucketing down rain, just pop in a shop for 5 min until it goes away!
