Well done! I thought I was mental because I'm approaching 100, you have put us all to shame!

Hello Everyone, my name is Markee. I've been a member of Cut Out and Keep since 2011. I love all types of crafts, and am always looking to try something new. I've recently made the move from being vegetarian to vegan, so I'm currently interested in any vegan crafts (especially finding a way to make vegan feathers, so if you have ideas send them my way). I'm a cabaret performer, so I'm always making glamorous vintage costumes, but I love anything that is vintage or retro. I've been crafting most of my life, so if you're new feel free to ask my advice. Or if you are seasoned like me, and we share similar interests, also feel free to get in contact. Happy crafting!
I could be persuaded!
I'll be going to a few gigs during the Fringe, so happy to cover those. I can have a think about any future ones as well if you want me to.
I use to use this site (http://www.readitswapit.co.uk/TheLibrary.aspx) but haven't been on it for years, so I don't know how active it is.
I'm quite lucky, I work at a University and there is a second-hand bookshop where students can sell their second hand books, so I usually put them in there.
@pineconeprincess hopefully you can get them over there (I just noticed you are based in the States). I'm from California originally, but live in Scotland now. I actually find a lot online these days though, so you might be okay regardless.
Violife is amazing! Have you tried the Vego chocolate bars? Those are so good as well.
I would love info on the Newbie vs Vet swap. I have loads of stuff I'd love to pass on to a new home (once I finish my move, at the moment it's all packed away).
This cherry brooch was really easy and great addition to any summery outfit: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/cherry-applique/versions/1
I've recently started eating more vegan food, and there are sooooo many amazing things. The best thing I can recommend is to try different brands and see what works for you. If you haven't tried nutritional yeast, I would recommend using that!
I've posted a few recipes, and hope to make more soon.
This cheesecake is easy and outstanding! You can do just a plain vanilla version if you don't have the matcha: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/matcha-cheesecake/versions/1
Here is a simple 'cheese' sauce: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/vegan-mac-and-cheese
And this is the best vegan mac and cheese recipe. Seriously it's healthy and amazing: https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/434667801516665728/
When is your trip for? I was just through today and it wasn't too bad, but I'm use to the Scottish weather! I usually bring a brolly/rainbonnet, jumper, lightweight jacket (water proof-ish), and shoes that are water resistant.
The great and worse thing with Scottish weather is it's pretty changeable, so even if it is bucketing down rain, just pop in a shop for 5 min until it goes away!
Hello Everyone, my name is Markee. I've been on this site for 5 years, and love it! I've been crafting for most of my life. I enjoy all crafts, and willing to give anything a try. I'm most skilled with textile based crafts, and I love anything with retro or vintage twist.
I'm quite skilled with sewing, crochet and knitting, so if you are new to the craft and find yourself stuck, send me a message!
I'm originally from the States but now happily living in Scotland. The wool is better here and there is more of a reason to wear a cosy hand knitted jumper. I'm a cat lover, love vegan/veggie food, and really into the performing arts.
I love crafting and thrifting as well, so if I'm not careful I also run out of room. It's helped me quite a bit to list stuff on Ebay or on a clothing swap site (I use big wardrobe.com) as it's a lot easier to get rid of things when you are getting paid for it, or know it's going to a good home.
I also clear my closets out regularly, and figure if I haven't worn it in the last few months, then it might not be worth keeping.
I also keep a picture diary of my clothes. This helps me remember what I have, and what I actually like/looks good on me. It also makes it easier to get rid of things when I know I can at least keep a picture of it.
I also tend to buy/make a lot of things for other people. This means I still get to shop and craft, but at least it will be leaving my home.
You can also try making a thrift/craft fund out of a cute jar or piggy bank. If you limit the amount you can spend, then you can't buy as much.
Hope some of those help.
