Vampire books...

Hey, I'm looking for a new book to read and I'm thinking something to do with vampires.
I really don't want any Twilight-like nonsense, but something more oldschool.
I've got a lot of Anne Rice books, so not looking for anything by her.
Anybody know any good ones?

my favorite vampire books are the vampire chronicles by anne rice... and the rest I have read are twilight-like... can't help much xD

have you read the books that inspire the true blood series?? I've heard they are pretty good....
