Stupid hair dye didnt do anything!!!!
This is the 2nd time this month that stupid blonde hair dye didnt work!!!
god damint walmart you failed me yet again!!!!!!
So i had like a light brown hair . i got some ultra blonde hair dye to lightin it cuz i didnt wanna strip my hair agiain. it helped by making my hair a dirty blonde with some blonde streaks.. okay i was fine with that cuz i cant expect it to bleach my hair.
ok
so i waited like 2 weeks and got the same brand but ultra bleach blonde hair. was the color. it is like white blonde.. which is what i want. since my hair is already a blonde shade i thought ok this will work.
and what happens???
NOTHING !!! NOT A DAMN THING, MY HAIR ISNT A SHADE DIFFERENT!!! GAHHHHHHH
sorry. i needed to rant about this as i am now unemployed and shoulda just payed 20 bucks for the bleach kit instead of 8.00 on two hair dye boxes.
omg tho. i wanna bring it back and complain like wft its the same shade. ive been dying my hair since i was 13 and i know for a fact that it should have at the very least went to a lighter blonde.
has this ever happened to anyone else and if so tell your hair fail story!!!
So...In high school I knew this girl who got the highlighting kit for her hair. She had beautiful chestnut/silky smooth hair to begin with. Well, she pulled her hair through every hole in the cap and did a highlight overload. It turned out amazing.....
So, my smart behind, decides to save time I'll just pour the whole bottle of highlighting stuff on my whole head. (I've got curly, frizzy hair already) It was a disaster! It fried my head and turned it ORANGE!
It's been over 10 years and I haven't dyed my hair since! I'm sooo afraid to ruin it again! lol
Hair dye rarely works on me. My hair is a really really dark brown so dying colour straight into my natural colour has NO effect whatsoever - unless it's blonde. So I wanted to dye it purple and went to the hairdressor to get it done. They bleached it first, that worked fine!! Then they put the purple in and not even a week later it started turning pink where the purple was washing out... they redyed it once more and it happened again so they dyed it back to my natural colour.
The natural colour lasted a lot longer than the purple, but even after a while the blonde came through that and I dyed it red. It's only been about 2 or 3 weeks bit the blonde is starting to come through that too, so I offically give up. I'm just going to let it all grow out!!
if you ever want to go drastic from your natural hair color it isnt wise to use the stuff at walmart, they have chemicals(ammonia)in them that can cause damage over time.
If you have a sally's beauty supply go see them, they are professionals that can point to the items you need to get the hair color you need.
Most hair colors will be needing developers which comes in different numbers depending how light or how dark you are going or getting ready. With this you mix the colors and apply on your hair.
They can also see by your natural color if you have any brassy tones (i have a red overlay that it is hard to get rid of) if this is the case they will give you a little tube to put in with the color.
It might seem expensive but it is pretty inexpensive instead of paying 100 of dollars at a salon or paying the same amount with the hair kits at walmart.
I had my cosmetology license, even thu mixing colors and the color wheel chart in that part of class was not my forte, I was the one with all sorts of hair colors every other week.
Hope that helps.
I had alot of fun with my many hair color changes over the summer!
hmm. do you have oilly hair? what stops hair dye from sticking is the lack of a pours surface (i know i spelt that wrong sorry) i would try washing your hair 2 days before you dye it and then blow dry.. i know it sounds like a no no but if you have naturally oily or fine hair it does help. my sister has that problem but she did that and now can dye her hair (although i think natural hair is so pretty just no for me) lol. i look better with pink and red hair. but reds purples pinks tend to fade very fast. its
Oh I've had the bleach thing - when I was going from black to blonde, I paid tons to get it done at the hairdressers, and it went so very, very orange.
A little while later I dyed a streak of my hair black, and then when I tried to bleach it so I could dye all of my hair pink, it just went brown. And stayed brown. For AGES. The only thing that FINALLY got rid of it was dying my whole head dark purple.
I've had sooo many hair fail stories.
I usally go to sallys. but sadly there is only one in my city and its on the other side of it! as it is i am bumming rides from a friend and he was alreasdy going to walmart. so i cant complain too much. it dont look bad on me im just picky
I just had a hair fail three days ago. I left my natural hair color (light brown) to grow out, since I decided not to damage my dreads with hair die.I wanted to color it with Kana (I don't know if you have it,its an all natural hair die from grounded leaves of the Kana plant) You can get it in red, brown and black and you mix the powder with coffee or tea.
I died my hair red with Kana a few times years ago so I knew it works lovely.
I got light brown colored Kana, since I only wanted to make my hair the same color everywhere and I didn't want to change the color.(it took me a year to get the black die out of the dreads)
Aaaand...It turned BLACK! My hole hair is now black!
But at least I know I didn't damage the dreads with chemicals, the Kana made it nice and shiny. And everyone likes my hair black (I had black hair for ages) especially Joci.
I'm personally terrified to do anything to my hair by myself. Paradoxically, I don't let "just anyone" touch my skincare or makeup, OR wax me. It's amazing what getting trained in something (and not another) can do to ya.
I'm also parannoid about pedicures in this country, but that's another story...
a couple years ago I purchased the root-touch up crap to cover my brown roots and make them black- I paid $14 for that crap and my roots were the exact same color when I was done! I was really pissed off and wrote to the company, only to get an e-mail response to call them. F$&^ers! I won't buy hair dye from that company now because it was such a total waste. It was at a time where I was making less than $900 a month and would have to scrape money together for food and hair dye so I had to go another month before I could get dye to cover my roots.
i've never used henna for hair before. ive alwasy wanted to but just never had the money to go get it. I have however used cherrys to dye my hair pinkish before and it stained my hair very well. it lasted longer than my pink splat does HOWEVER, iwould not suggest sleeping on white pillow cases untill it washes out a bit lmAO. I just put some pink (manic panic) on my tips and steaks on my bangs.. its still in the wet process so well shall see if this works. hehe
I tried dying my hair blue a few months ago. Worst mistake of my life. Not only did I mess up the bleach(it came out in patches of lighter color here and there) but the blue washed out after a week.
I would probably say my hair is oily. I washed my hair yesturday and it feels greasy already - especially at the front.
I have dark brown hair and dye rarely works for me either. I went to sally's and got the best bleach kit they had and it just turned my hair orange. So I waited for a bit then bleached again and it worked that time but I put some blue manic panic over the bleached areas and it turned out a hooooorrible green! Should have seen the looks I got from people. Those cheap boxes of Splat seem to be the only thing that works for me.
