Crochet
Ha, I would have to knit if I was so injured cos I wouldn't be able to go and get the crochet after I hurled it across the room=)
I agree with laurel. ;)
I'm afraid the only time I've been bedridden I was so high on the morphine that the wool probably would have turned into a snake and strangled me.
I have this super awesome old book that teaches 3 different kinds of needle work. Knit, Crochet, and Tating [which is lace making].
Now it covers Crochet really well, if any of you wanted I could post up scaned copys of it with some live shots haha. :p I know I don't have a lot of post here but I can make hats cute animals and things after reading through that book.
Scanned copies might not be a good idea because that would be copyright infringement . However, live shots would be ace! How-to's and videos how ever you plan on doing it, would be grand!
I just picked up Crocheting a couple of hours ago and I can do the chain stitch kinda alright, but I just keep making really long crochet necklaces! haha. I haven't figured out how to make it wider for a scarf! I've looked on the internet but can't find anything that can help me. I'm Hoping some of the links and things you guys posted will help. So Thanks! And I wish the rest of you learning the best of luck!
Im so sorry,I was trying to make a picture tutorial, but I cant take pictures and crochet,so Im waiting for Joci to hold the camera.
I made a short video on the chain Ill try to upload it somehow,or find a good video on Youtube for you.
I really hope you guys learn, crocheting is awesome and so much fun.
Right now Im practicing my knitting to get better at it.
To make anything wider in crochet you have to start crocheting in to the chain which builds the piece. Instead of just making really long strings. I should be able to set up a camera tripod thing. Oh and since my book has no cover I'd take a guess it is 30+ years old... the pages are starting to go yellow at the corners. And the lady in one of the photos has.... well you know the lulu lemon logo just put that on someones head and that is her hair.
I love you guys, you're ace! x
I'm going to start saying that things are "ace." I love it. :-D :-P
Sooooo, I posted up a How-to. It is just called Crochet, I am not sure when it will show up on the list.
Yay! Thanks Katrina that is so sweet of you!
Ace is an excellent word and should be used at every time possible Rachie.
Here is a great video tutorial to help you out:
