Lonely :(

It sucks, i'm pretty much the only person in this town into different types of crafting and arts. Everyone i kno is kind of stuck one way or another. Like I want to make a plaster mask, with plaster bandages, and I need someone to either be the mask or help put the strips on me. But like, no one i know wants to do either. Its making me sad, cause i love making masks. And than, no one i know bakes the way i do, and they are kind of stuck on a chocolate chip cookie or no baking thing. Its making me sad and lonely Happy I wish i had more friends that where into what i was into.

I'm sorry. None of my friends do any crafts either. But none of my friends live anywhere near me anyway. I hate being lonely. At least we have our little crafty community though right?

Everyone thinks I'm weird for being crafty. Then some of them see my creations and are like "I'm sorry I made fun of you; your shit is actually really cool." I love COK because I've met so many new people from all over the world who like the same kinds of things that I do!

I can relate too. I have one friend here in Iceland who crafts, but she lives like over 300km away and I haven't seen her in 2 years! I only have two other friends and they don't craft, but they do appreciate what I do, which is nice, coz I only give crafty gifts ;) hehe

I am also so glad to have this site, it's great for inspiration and to talk about other things too Happy

none of my friends or family understand me. no one does crafts or art like me, and only my art teachers apreciate any of it. art class here in Oil City, PA is really bogus because nobody cares like me. they're all hicks

I know how you feel, I don't have any crafty friends either, they all just look at me like "Wtf?" when I mention needing to go out and get some sort of craft item or something that I'm planning to make. My boyfriend is supportive, but I think he gets really bored if I try and craft when he's round haha.
