oh no :(

Well today I was coming up with some ideas to keep my little one occupied while I did the daily chores in the house. It has come to the point where she has refused any type of nap or alone time. She knows how to get out of her chair, bath tub, over the baby gate. Usually when she naps or eats is a good time for me to clean, craft zip zam zoom on what needs to be done. Well today I wanted to get the kitchen super cleaned cause I wanted to bake sugar cookies with both girls this evening and I wanted a clean space to sit two chairs by the counter. So my brilliant mind is too put Miss Emma in her chair in the living room and putting NOGGIN on...omg noggin! blah! lol

Well I had called my mom to see if she could take us to the commissary for a quick stock up on the pantry...okay okay I am getting to the BIG ISSUE....

So I figure since mom will be here to take us in an hour that would be plenty of time to get kitchen done and a load in the wash. I was really excited and so was Miss Emma(she loves her gamma!!) So I gave her a lolly out of her halloween bucket for her to keep occupied while watching some Jack's big Music Club House.

So the whole time I am getting the kitchen spic and span and checking inventory on what else I would need at the commissary. I hear her giggle and dance and periodicly check around the corner and ask her if she loves the music they were playing.

Once I was done in about 25 mins later I go to get her ready for "Gamma" and to my horror...the lolly pop was dangling in her LONG CURLY HAIR!!!! ...no worries this happen before and was able to retrieve it...but...I look closer...and closer and my heart started to beat faster. OH GAWD NO! It was so knotted in her hair I could not simply do my method that I did before.

So I had an idea...I put her in the shower...to hope that maybe it would get unsticky but she kept moving...I already feel like a glob with my medi boot on and was doing my best not to fall on to the floor.

In the End I thought I could cut her hair and just still be able to keep some length..but she kept moving...I started to cry. Her curls are gone...and Her bday party is next saturday and to my horror my husband is on the verge of killing me cause he had talked to his mom and found out that the annual grandkids pics are this SATURDAY!!!!! AAAAAAH!!

I know hair grows back...and she is not even two yet so its not as tramatic as if she were my age...but still...AAAAAAAAH!!

I bet she still looks absolutely gorgeous, but you could always put a pretty bow or something in her hair?

It's not your fault at all, and kids get in scraps all the time! Just you wait till she's old enough to use scissors and cut her own fringe... oh, the screams!

Haha yeah Roma fringe cutting is a nightmare... once when my friend and I were about 4 my mum found us in her bathroom playing "hairdressers"... she literaly had the big kitchen scissors up to my hair and was just about to snip when my mum found us Tongue

Could you try brushing the shorter bit back away from the front of her face and then clipping it back? It could be a nice clip what you've made and then it would be special because her mum made it for her Happy

And next time she gets something stuck in her hair (when she gets to be a teenager it'll be chewing gum, I've done that one a fair few times Tongue) try using washing up liquid or some sort of liquid soap. That's what my mum always used on me.

awww, that sucks! I remember when I was older than her, I was around 7, I had LONG LONG LONG beautiful hair that I loved. It was down to my butt and I was a tomboy, but that was my ONE girly feature. I had so much hair that I ended up getting a small knot at the back of my neck that would be really hard to comb out, so Tony [my dad] decieded to take my favorite part of me and CUT IT ALL OFF! and into a BOB! And ugly one... lol.

Hair and children are not fun : lol.

Next time is happens, if with a lolly pop, you could use boiling hot water [like, hold her hair up and put something protective so it doesn't hit her skin] and that will melt the lolly pop out of her hair Happy

ooh nooo! i bet it will grow back really fast, a hairdresser could sort it out just for her photo though? I know it's money but I doubt they'll charge that much for a 2 year olds cut?

my mum used to stick a peice of cellotape onto the end of my fringe and cut along the cellotape, once it went all wonky, I don't remember though thank god! I have cut my hair a lot, as in by my own hand and it's only gone wrong a few times, its only gone majorly wrong once, and all the other times it was because of actual hairdressers. Now when I cut my fringe i just go for it and it just works I think maybe cuz i take little bits off, it grows too fast!

thanks guys. Today I am not much of in a shock than I was yesterday...it acutally curls under where it looks like a cute bob. I hope when her hair grows out that she will have her ringlets again. Happy The plus is she seems to a bit more outgoing than usual as well as she will freeze where she is and shake her short hair and think its funny....not to mention I never had such a breeze to comb her hair after a bath..but no way its staying short cause of that..lol GROW HAIR GROW Happy
