I hope my bf gets to go home soon...

He's in the hospital right now. I've been with him here since last Tuesday. His lung function was down due to a lung infection, which is pretty routine with cystic fibrosis, his disease. His lungs have gotten better, but we don't know if he can go home today. I sure hope he can; I'm out of food money and my parents are busy and broke and I don't want to bother them. Happy

Unfortunately, he'll have to be in the hospital lots of times in his life... same as me. I've had a kidney transplant, and sometimes I get infections that my body can't fight because of the medicines I have to take. I've been in the hospital twice this year already. He usually goes in once per year, but I'm afraid that it will get more frequent as he gets older since cystic fibrosis is an ultimately fatal illness. The average life span for someone with CF is 37 years. He's 21 now.

Well, it looks like he'll be getting out today! YAY! He'll have to do some IV treatment at home for a couple more weeks, but at least he'll be able to eat food he likes, sleep in his own bed, and overall be comfy. :}

Thanks! Happy I tend not to think of it as being brave, I love him and it's enough just to be together for however long we have.
