We used to have an Introductions thread but it got soooooooo long, that we thought your introductions deserved their own board. So, create a new topic, tell us about yourself and your introduction will automagically appear on your profile!
So here goes...
I'm Crafterella, a crime fighting crafty superhero who loves cats, mac n cheese and action flicks!
I'm Lauri, & I'm more of a lurker. I just wanted to say Hi from Massachusetts!
Hi,
I'm Reka living in Brighton UK area since 2009. I love all things crafty, thrifty and foodie, and of course cats!!
Hi Everyone! Not new to the site, but new to the Boards. I'm Elizabeth--I come from Wisconsin but I live in Scotland now (for the past 12 years, actually)
Hi, I'm Sarah, I live, love and breathe sewing! I own a sewing shop and run workshops in Leicester and also love to sew on my days off! At the moment I'm making a roman blind to go in my sewing room, a kind of mashed together roller blind out of lots of scraps of cotton lace I've been collecting for year for the bathroom, a short sleeved shirt in awesome robot print for my Dad for Fathers Day (UK- don't panic America - like I do when your Mothers Day comes up! Fathers day is a different day in America too isn't it...?!), and making plans to start sewing through my stash- hopefully you can help me with some ideas of things to make as I've decided I need to clear, or at least work through a little of my stash before buying more fabrics - not easy working in a fabric wonderland! Looking forward to sharing sewing adventures with you all
Hi, I'm Emily from Colorado! I've been around for awhile but have never posted before... I love arts and crafting I dabble in a wide variety of things from resin and polymer clay to crochet and paper crafting. I'm glad to be a part of COandK!
"Back after a hiatus" is basically what it is soooo here goes nothing!
*harrumphs* I'm FrolleinKram (meaning 'Missy Stuff' basically), former known as Mi.ezekatze. I have been here since 2008 & posted a crapton of creations and tutorials back in my prime untill, as it happens, grown-up life took over. Now I only show some trinkets I made every once in a blue moon,.but I promise I'll be a good girl and post some more.
I do basically everything. I tatt, I crochet and knit, I build, I make jewelry, I revamp furniture, I make my own home decor, I paint a little, I sew, I thrift, I cook and bake, I write, aaaaall the things. And I was lucky enough to create a teeny tiny fan base on Facebook and Istagram that allows me to every now and then sell one of my creations or have people commission things. It's pretty awesome. CO+K has been an everworking source of inspiration to me and I am soooo so happy I decided to join back when *sniffs* Love & Glitter to all!
Yes, I am "back after a hiatus" too... I'm in since 2009.. but posted just a few projects.. shame on me... Every day I knock on myself to sit down and post my new recipes.. I am the best involved in the kitchen.. but I also love the immaginary sanctuary of 'real' crafting that for me is working with all kinds of paper, lately fabrics too... and also revamping furniture with comics books which became my new job... I got back to baking ( I don't care about summer's coming..) And I also love experimenting with homemade cosmetics etc. actually anything homemade Well, I'm absolutely happy to be part of this community, this is my first post to 'board' and am happy to announce that I also won a book Happy to be involved Happy Crafting on CO+K
Hi guys! I'm one of the zombies here
Hi, my name is libby. I am also back after a hiatus, I have been a member since 2011. I used to be fairly active on the boards and in swaps. I have moved around a lot but I've moved back to my home country of Scotland and am loving being back. I love crafting and do jewellry making, knitting, crochet, embroidery and machine sewing.
Hello, my name is Rosa. I am 19 and just finishing up my last year of high school. I've been a member of this site for a while but haven't been as active as of late. I like to read, write, and listen to music. I enjoy crafting and try a little bit of everything. I focus mainly on jewellery making and paintings/pictures. Right now I am trying my hand at manga comic making. It is very interesting to see all the detail that goes into manga characters.
Another "back after a hiatus" member here. I'm Chriss, I'm from a tiny, boring suburb just outside of Cleveland. It's a crafting dead zone, but we also have no crime because most of the residents of my town are senior citizens, so there's that. I disappeared from my online communities for a while to attend a CRAZY expensive design school, but realized it was not a good fit for me and left. I have chronic illness issues that mean spending lots of time at home on my own "resting," so I occupy my time by collecting new creative skills. Sewing is still my main focus, but I also dabble in custom stenciling, doll customization and restoration, and jewelry making. I have a line of custom plush dolls called Blockheads. I sew the majority of my own wardrobe, and I have "mini-me" dolls in different sizes which usually get a perfect replica of each of my outfits, because nothing brings in customers like a crazy doll lady, amirite? XD I have a not-so-secret obsession with costuming and cosplay, but I don't get nearly as many opportunities to explore that passion as I'd like. If I could afford to, I'd love to move somewhere in the UK to work as a theatrical costumer, but I think I'll have to settle for Canada instead (much cheaper not to have to ship my sewing machines overseas!). I love ALL things horror and sci-fi (the campier the better!), and I think this shows a lot in my work. I'll try to be better about posting here more often since I love this community so much, but I have a tendency to get caught up in my work and lose an entire week before I realize any time has passed at all. If I lived alone, I think I'd have starved to death by now!
Something a lot of people find amusing about me is that I can be VERY long-winded online (as evidenced by this post, I'm sure!), but in person I barely speak at all unless I know you well. It's not a conscious decision, I think I just type too fast to realize I'm "talking" too much.
Hello to everyone!
I love being creative, what crafts I havn't tried yet I want to. I enjoy learning new skills and the harder it is to learn the more I enjoy challenging myself with it. I started with origami and while I didn't understand what I was supposed to fold at first that just made me more focused and once I got it I started going smaller and smaller.
My favorite thing to do is miniatures, I love the challenge of working small but keeping in all the details you can.
Inspiration for ideas can find you anywhere so I always keep a notebook and some pens with me where ever I go, and it's filled with projects. Some I have done, others are waiting to be finished.
Hi, my name is Caz and I live in Swindon, England. I have been a member of CO&K for several years and have enjoyed posting a variety of tutorials. I enjoy sewing both by hand and machine. My favourite fabric to work with is felt. I also like to upcycle fabric like curtains and duvets to give them a new purpose of life.
Hi I'm Louise.
Back after a break with a new account. My craft is my sanity. It has seen me through leaving my abusive husband. I will try my hand at most things, but not knitting, I get in a real mess. My craft is back as my number one passion and it's supporting me and my boys. Cut out and keep and pinterest are obsessions. I love finding new ideas and sharing projects.
