Russell Brand & Jonathan Ross

I listen to Russells podcast and I love the show. Usually. Since his friend and co-host Matt has been away he has had guest hosts and they do not have the power to reign Russell in like Matt does.
Every show bar the one with Noel G has been shit. Russell just can't control himself! I'm not giving him an excuse, but that's how he works.

The show with J Ross was the worst show ever, Ross was trying way to hard to one up Russell and it ended badly. The phone call was stupid, but Ross kept egging on Russ to call one more time!! Stupid Ross.

Anyway, I am sad that the show is now over and Russell has resigned, but it wont end his career. J Ross on the other hand should have known better. I don't care about his career, he is pretty shit really and paid way too much.

What annoys me more is only 2 people who listened to the show complained! One of them being the guy they called up.

The Daily Mail HATE Russell and he hates them, so this was totally manufactured by them. I can understand why the politicians are involved as the money is provided by tax payers so they should have an input in some sense as to what is broadcast, but this was definitely blown out of proportion.

You know what I find funny about the whole thing...
Andrew Sach's grandaughter claimed to be so offended by Russell Brand & Jonathan Ross saying that she'd slept with Russell during the calls, and yet she went and told The Sun all the details yesterday. She's no better than them!

Oh yeh she is totally using this for her own publicity. NO doubt about that. I mean she has to have known it would get out about her sleeping with Russ, he is not known for his gentlemanly manners with his sleeping partners!

Jonathan Ross always tries to do one better and doesn't like it when he can't, you can see it in his face when someones said something really funny on his show.

haha I know The Sun for fucks sake! Why was the video of her talking all grainy, like it was a secret camera? She's part of satanic sluts.com or something and accused RB and JR of being morally wrong...I don't mind burlesque but the name is you know..crude. There's going to be a documentary on Channel 5 about the whole thing. Mock the Week is being looked at now but they did talk about the queen's va jay jay..they were talking about it on Newsnight I think or something similar and the presenter was repeating what they said, word for word, really seriously, I found that funnier then Mock the Week.

You know at the end of the day, most of the fans weren't super bothered by it.
If the people who complained listened to any other show by Russell there is enough material in them to get him banned from radio!!

So what are they going to do, go through everything now and make sure it doesn't offend ANYONE?!Even people who wont listen to it. sheeeeesh

Oh and you know what? The granddaughter is in a band called Satanic Sluts, and has suggested that she had a relationship with Russell Brand in the past. So it's not even all lies. I threw the band name in there because it's hilarious - she's in a band called Satanic Sluts, I think she's putting herself open to slights against her purity!

I just think it's so funny that Brand resigned. BBC suspended him just to show they weren't letting him get away with it, but then he screwed them over - he's been banned by a few channels already, and he has the second most listened to show on the BBC radio, so they really could have done with keeping him haha.

Oh yeah and what bothered me is, the show wasn't live, so someone in charge should have realised that they probably shouldn't put that out (Brand and Ross were assured that that bit wouldn't be played, and they told Andrew that so he was fine about the whole call). Although apparently the executive producer has been fired.

What just gets me is how ridiculous it all is. And that there was more over this than when Brand prank called the police - while I forgive him for that, and he was genuinely sorry, that was rather silly of him. Well, and illegal.

And Ross is really only getting this because he's highly paid, which doesn't have anything to do with this instance!

I think it's a burlesque group rather than a band that that girl is in.

Oh it's definitely the fault of the producers I mean someone has to edit the show and the podcast then too, so they rightly fucked up with it.

Russell is getting the blame for it but it was Jonathan who started it, my mum was like 'oh it was Jonathan who said i!? ooo' when i told her HA! my Grandad was on the phone talking to her about it and I bet he's not even heard it, it's the older people who are most offended by it, but they haven't heard it or heard it in context and again the press is rubbish!

the BBC are gonna go off on one now, at least Russell's Ponderland is still on. If a comedian makes a joke, and it's offensive then you can't really take it seriously, they make light of serious things sometimes, it's a release that we all need.

Yeah and this is Russell Brand, he's quite seriously messed up and does stupid things for attention - it's not that he's an idiot, it's that he NEEDS the attention to function properly. This is why he does annoying things sometimes, but it's also why he works so well.

Yeh. I never thought about the resigning thing like that before, it probably was to get one up on them hehe, but still it was mainly Jonathan who started it.

If only Matt had been there, none of this would have happened.

I feel sorry for Matt, he can't even go on a simple vacation without Russell doing something like this.
Also I agree with Knittin', about how stupid it was that they left that part in since it was pre-recorded, and the whole fact that she is in a group called the Satanic sluts.

I felt so sorry for Brand - when he resigned, he said it was because he got into the business to make people happy, and he obviously wasn't doing that anymore. Bless him =(

Now Jeremy Clarkson has made a joke about how all lorry drivers care about is fuel prices and killing prostitutes. Bet there isn't the same fuss over that.
