Fringe / Bangs question
At the moment, I have a straight fringe, that goes just below my eyes. Im trying to grow it out, to go into a side fringe, but Im stuck at the awkward stage in the middle. Its too long to be a straight fringe, and too short to cut it how I was thinking of doing it. So, Im just wondering, is anyone has any ideas of how I could cut it.
Thank you
could you do the side fringe but change the angle to work with the shorter length?
try kind of pushing the fringe to the side you want your side fringe on if they get in your eyes (so it falls the way you want it to). making a side parting in your hair helps, too. that way you can kind of make the straight fringe look like it's a side fringe, until the hair is long enough for a proper side fringe the way you wanted it. hope this helps, it worked for me (:
I agree with the above. As somewhat of a fringe connoisseur (Haha!) I think, while your hair is wet, part your hair to the side, then comb or rake your fingers through your fringe and push it back until it sort of balances into a side fringe curvey shape. Wow, that didnt make sense but I hope you understand it.
If you're looking for a new cut for your bangs, maybe try an asymmetrical cut that's shorter on one side than the other. It's not side-swept fringe but it's got a more unique look to it.
^That's what I have^ it grew out and I could use it either way
I'm in the same situation. Well I was until I tried to cut it before it was long enough, now I have a floppy mess on my forehead that I've had to stick up in little quiffs or twist to the side. I'd recommend not cutting it until it's long enough and just twist or quiff it for now so it's not in your eyes.
After my "Bettie Page-ish" bangs grew out and I wanted them side swept, I just cut one side (my left side) about an inch short, and made a slope to where they are as long as they were already on my right side. Like a diagonal line going down across my forehead.
