Name of the fabric used on lint brushes?

Struggling to find the name of it on google.

It's the kind of bristly fabric that is used on lint brushes, where you brush in one direction and it removes the lint from fabric.

Anyone know the name?

Velvet?
I think I have one with velvet... I use it only to remove cat-hair.. Don't know if that is what you mean.

I was thinking velvet also- although tape works just as well if you ask me.
