Bag o shirts
Hi there. Husband and I cleaned closet for remodel on home. Ended with a bag of a few dress shirts and several of my J Crew Liberty and gingham shirts that I decided to retire (on the promise of a new wardrobe ;-). Anyway, what would you ladies consider doing craft wise with these lovely soft and cottony shirts? I am open to all ideas.
Since they are showing their age, I do not want to landfill them or simply give them away for industrial rags.
I am eager to hear your ideas.
L.
PS. Would be more than happy to send a picture of these old friends.
Make a quilt, or possibly throw pillows. It would make use of a lot of shirts and give you some unique decor in the process.
Make some quirky fabric dolls? Little patterned cats and aliens with big button eyes!
If the t-shirts have logos on with some of your favourite brands, or whatever, you could make bags out of them? Here's a link of how to do this:

It's really easy! Let me know what you come up with if you don't use this idea though
I second the quilt motion, a quilt of his dress shirts along with your old blouses would make a great quilt for your bed or a gift to your child.
The second one made me think of some lovely full length aprons... (Le sigh!)

My favorite thing to do with shirts if they are big enough is too make yoga pants. Here's my tutorial for making them and keeping the logo/picture on the front intact:

When I get another shirt that I want to make Yoga Pants out of I plan to make a better tutorial with my new camera and MUCH better, clearer, and precise instructions...
