"Midnight in Paris" Dress Up
I'm currently in my last year of school, and in about 2 week we're having our final farewell dinner.
The theme for this year is "Midnight in Paris", with the invitation stating "dress up in French Couture from the past or the present".
For last year's dinner, we had to dress up in a Burlesque theme, so I don't want my outfit to be too similar to that style.
Does anyone have ideas on how I could DIY and outfit for this theme in about a week?
Thanks so much!
I did a quick search on Google for "French couture" and came up with this:

This reminds me of the Jem and the Hologram song "Twilight in Paris" for a second I thought that was what the post was about. Hee hee!

I guess when I think of French couture I think of Chanel's "little black dress" of course it would be in jersey because she was the one who made jersey famous.
You can wear lace skirts
I hope I'm not too late with posting this and I don't really know much about french couture. But you could go with a simple and stylish dress, like the "little black dress" PinkWeeds suggested. And then it could be all about creating your own accessories, like making yourself a pair of lacy gloves. Oo! You could try out that heels and socks thing.
Thanks so much for all of your suggestions! I think I'm going to do something with some black lace, and maybe some white gloves!
Thanks everyone!
