Anyone watching the euro cup?

Nope, I don't want to see how bad my country is (Yes, I'm Dutch) I'm in my room watching Mad Fashion right now.
I did see Netherlands - Denmark, but it looked like our team was taking a walk instead of playing a soccermatch. Idiots!

I missed that match, it's a shame cause I really do want to see them do well... my boyfriend's wearing his orange jersey right now watching the match.

I try to watch it when I can....since I'm not from Europe, the local Tv doesn't show all the games...

do people in your country do something special for every match? get together...have lunch...or something?

i watch the games with germany involved, but since they don´t play very well or in other words the games are sometimes really boring, i´m happy we watch it with friends and/or family! It´s thousand times better than watching alone or just with my boyfriend!
Most times we have a barbecue before the game starts. The boys are sitting right in front of the tv and scream a lot, getting angry with players, with the referee, with the coach etc... i´m always sitting with the ladies we watch the first minutes and start chatting and drink prosecco with strawberries after a while though we´ll be happy when germany scores!!
i really enjoyed the games of the spain national team last world cup, but i have the feeling that several big teams lack creativity and enthusiasm this euro!
what i can´t stand is the hype here in germany, nearly everything edible you can buy is shaped like a football or has at least a name referring to the euro!! and i don´t like the cars that are decorated with a thousand flags or the fans that block the main road by sitting on it because germany won and now you can sit on the road and the police is standing nearby taking photos of it...

@ Sweet C - I'm live in the US where soccer is only approved of until you're 12 and then it's very unappreciated... Not alot of people watch it specially with the NBA Finals going on right now but there are some who do my boyfriend and his family like to get together and watch the matches on FOX soccer and ESPN. There are also some local bars that show them like one that's modeled after an English pub called Streets of London

@ So - it still must be fun to live somewhere that appreciates and gets excited about "foot ball" here in the US almost no one cares, even when US went to the finals and placed second in the Women's World Cup it barely made sports news... its a shame. Germany is still playing tough, just ask the Netherlands lol... Ballack's been on ESPN as an annalist, he's actually really funny

And the Dutch totally screwed up. They lost all 3 games... Nothing to be proud of. I have more faith in our Olympic athletes like Epke Zonderland, The Dutch women hockey-team and probably Edward Gal, Marianne Vos if the make it.

I hope Italy will start playing better... Ever since they won the world cup in 2006 it looks like they are too sure that they will win eventually.. They are a good team, but still need to prove it too :p
Too bad for the Dutch indeed, but at least they were able to support their team, mine is not even playing xD (I'm from Belgium)

I'm rooting from italy 'cause that's where I'm from but also france because I have relatives there. If I had to choose, though, Italy all the way!
