Mmm, sorry to hear about Matt. Happy Also, it sounds like he was quite the party enthusiast!!

We have a little apartment with a living room, 2 bedrooms (one has our computers, my craft stuff, etc.), and the essentials. I don't think we could really make the building's hallway into a haunted house, either, but if we were back in MI, we could TOTALLY make it happen.

A shot game could be fun. I'll let Shlomz know about all these ideas--I'm sure we can implement some. ;)

yes black candles are used for remvoing bad spirits, negitive stuffs. If they make your friends un comfy though why not get some shaped ones? like bats or pumpkings or what not. or skip the black candles all together and go orange.

also, bobbing for apples perhaps? its always fun to watch people try to grab that giant apple with their teeth Happy

why not host a costume contest too. winner can win candy or something you made? i used to host costume cosntest at my partys it ensured everyone came dressed up and was a reall hoot to see what my firends could come up with.

Yes, I think a costume contest would be a great idea--it would be the only way to get them to dress up. ;) Also, the friends aren't concerned with the candles--it's just the shop owners and basic population. ;) I am pretty sure none of them really care too much... anyway, all the orange candles smelled like citrus--NOT the theme I am going for, lol!! ;) I did think of it, though. Happy

I finally got the boxed set i found at central station, plus one more, plus some old halloween candles i had, so i have a nice spread on the coffee table. I'll be taking photos when i FINALLY have everything up. Happy

We have a halloween party every year, and we do Karaoke. It's a great way for everyone to have fun, and you can pick up three cheap Halloween oriented prizes for the top three singers. For some ideas for drinks you can make a Pina Goulada, which can include alcohol for the adults and no alcohol for kids (if there are any coming) Just make a normal Pina Colada and then add "blood" along the rim fot he margarita glass! If you can get our hands on black vodka, you can make an array of really cool halloween drinks including Ghosts in the Graveyard which is black vodka, coffee flavored liqueur and ice cream, Screwed-Up Screwdriver which is tangerine juice, and black vodka, and a Berry Scary Martini, which is Black Vodka ad Cherry Juice! If you want any of these recipes in full, just send me a message!! A really easy, and fairly inexpensive way to decorate would be to get a bunch of black construction paper and cut out scary designs such as bats for windows, mice for stairs, and cats for around corners! Good Luck with everything!!
