For Those With Cats...
Does your cat ever lay down on whatever you are working on? It seems when ever I need to lay some fabric down one of my three cats needs to take a nap in that same place.
Yes. My two do the same thing. They even get up on my ironing board! And if I am not finished and have to leave something out to dry or what not, they knock it off. Little brats... =P
I dont have cats.. but my dog (she got put down earlier this year)
used to sit or lie on anything.. and eat stuffing.. Her favourite thing was to stand in between me and whatever i was working on so that i had to touch her to do anything. She was so sweet.
Not unusual. Ours has a list of favourite places to sit. This includes:
Anything you happen to be reading
Anything you happen to be working on
Clean washing
Ironing boards
Mixing bowls
Bags
Keys
Scissors
My three like to lie down on whatever I'm working on. Ever since I got an easel, they don't have as many opportunities to lie down on top of my canvases. They still like to run off with brushes and markers.
Yes. As soon as I lay out a thing of fabric my cat decides it's a bed. They also like to play with whatever fabric or ribbon I have hanging.
It's cute in an annoying way.
Oh hell yes!! It's not just crafts, I'd be reading a text book (when I was studying) or a newspaper and she'd do it. I could have been doing anything, she just wanted my attention and didn't care what she had to do in order to get it!! LOL.
My brother has complained all day today about Oreo (the kitten we are fostering) doing this. I told him that it's just instinctual. xD
my dog does this as well
all the time!! And is obnoxious enough to try and get into my cereal bowl, while I'm eating almost ever morning!!!!!!!
what this roughly translates as is:
"STOP paying attention to the craft stuff for 5 minutes and START paying attention to ME!!!!!!!! NOW!!!!"
and this tactic typically works when executed properly.
xoxox
OH Krafty i knew you would be jumping on this one with Elvis!
Yes, it's not just your cats, my old cat would lay on anything i was working on, the current cat is slightly insane and if she's not laying on it, she is running thru and wacking something! This is on top of the fact that she may just bring a milk zipper or lollipop over to you so that you will throw it for her!!!!! But i love her just the same!
I have to watch out when I am sewing because my cat likes to attack the machine. She also enjoys stealing my ice cream, getting between me and my books, and attacking my paint. ^_^
Cats can be crazy. Mine make it very hard to cut any fabric at all. Even taking pictures of the swap items I make or pictures of the how-to I post, can get difficult cause they want to be in the picture. Sometimes they even try to lay on the laptop when I'm using it.
