Umm probably cross stitch, because it was the first craft I actually did where I was really really pleased with my results. My mum does to some extent, even though she thinks I'm a bit silly for spending my money on it, my boyfriend thinks its cool and asks me to teach him things, and my mother-in-law (well, not technically, she's my boyfriend's mum lol) works in a charity shop so she scores me jewellery they can' sell so I can reuse the beads. • Do you admit to “crafting", or do you call it something else, like “DIY”? I just call it "crafting" or "making stuff" (oh I'm so eloquent ) • Do you have any advice for aspiring crafters? If you see something expensive that you want in a shop, always think if you can make your own first. It's cheaper, more fun, and you can customise it to make it unique and one-of-a-kind • List everything you’ve tried from a crafting perspective. Jewellery making, customising clothes, cross stitch, embroidery, plush making, knitting, scrapbooking, card making... the list goes on. • Do you craft in short bursts or long sessions? I never really get time for long sessions, so usually short bursts • How do you beat the blahs and get inspired and motivated again? Have a look round on the internet, find something and think "oooh, I like that", then go and make it/something inspired by it • Have you ever been injured while crafting? Nothing major. I've stabbed myself with pins countless times and I nearly had a piece of sewing maching needle fly off and hit me in the face (luckily it stayed attached to the thread in the machine, so I was saved!) • If you had a 5-minute shopping spree in your craft supply store, how would you plan your attack? Grab a basket trolley, head for the jewellery making aisle, throw as many beads and findings in as possible, then grab any other stuff I'm ever likely to need ot stuff that I like the look of... it'll all come in handy one day! • If you could afford to start any crafting hobby, what would it be? Lampwork bead making • If you could instantly gain a crafting ability what would it be? What would you make and for whom? I found it quite dull and expensive for what it is.

MISCELLANEOUS

• do you have any advice for aspiring crafters? Inhale that inspiration and exhale a pretty awesome creation!

• How do you beat the blahs and get inspired and motivated again? hmmm it needs a sugar twist to that!

• If you had a 5-minute shopping spree in your craft supply store, how would you plan your attack? Polymerclay, felt, stickers, rubber stamps, ink, paints and the expensive scrapbooking paper books!

• If you could afford to start any crafting hobby, what would it be? i like a bit of everything! Dont stick to one thing or i will get bored with it.

• If you could instantly gain a crafting ability what would it be? What would you make and for whom? Knitting! Knits scarfs for all my nieces and nephews.
