Plushie Skills -> Time for a Plushie book?
Since ages I wanted to have my own "how to sew plushies book" ... and at the moment I am preparing myself again to try it and hopefully to find a German Publishing house who enjoys to publish such a book.
For me it would be interesting, if my Tutorials are understandable for you (please ignore any mistakes and grammar, because I will stay native German and never a multitalented English writer).
So if you want please have a look to my
White Totoro Tutorial
http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/totoro-plushie-tutorial
or my
Mew Tutorial
http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/mew-plushie-tutorial
maybe try to sew them ...
and tell me if I need to chance something in my teaching strategy, because this is the same concept I normally use in my Plushie Workshops on our German Conventions.
I really want to learn from other people, because for me it is easy to make them, so I need no How to and don't really know if beginners or people who just wanna try are able to follow me and my instructions :3
On the Mew plushie, I would like to know how to do the eyes and bottom of the feet~maybe add a link or something? And when your showing the sewing remind people too leave a space open...you wouldn't believe how many people would sew them close XD If your plushies require a certain stitch, you could tell people to look them up online if they needed help :3 Othere than that they are very good But to be professional little things like that could be included And theyre very cute I would certainly make them
The stitches you will find on the Totoro Tutorial, I thought it would be enough to mention them there, because it is the first Tutorial you should start with, because the Mew Tutorial is for people who already have sewn an easier plushie.
Hmmm ... the eyes and the bootom of the feet, maybe an good idea for another plush tutorial, I think this will not be good for beginners, because it is a very special technique. I think I will have to look if I mentioned that they can make them out of felt and sew them.
And do they really close all spaces ... hm, maybe I have to upate the pattern a bit, whith this information.
in your book show people how to do the stitches, and remember, photos arent always best for showing something, sometimes a drawing is.
