Sewing Machine Frustration!!

Somebody PLEASE help. I have an old sewing machine that is in great condition. It's one of the ones built into a wooden desk and has a knee pusher to work it.

What I'm having a huge problem with is winding the bobbin - I've had this issue before and I can't remember or figure out how to fix it. I've searched the internet and nobody seems to talk about it.

I seem to be doing everything right, but once I push the bobbin up to be winded, there is a rubber part that isn't pressed up against the hand wheel, so it doesn't spin the bobbin. i'm trying to figure out how to adjust the tension of the rubber part so that it DOES rub against the plastic part, therefore spinning the bobbin.

anybody know what I'm talking about? it's driving me crazy!

Sorry no Happy But I know there was someone on who owned some old type machines, so maybe she could help you. I will find where she posted for you.

Maybe you can ask her, if she doesn't see this thread? Good luck

Would you be able to take a photo of the bobbin part and I can see what your dealing with. If it's the same as mine, I'll post photos on how to thread it.
